swtDolphin - Jervis Bay Fin ID catalogue
Current research is collecting data on the population estimates of the resident bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) that reside in Jervis Bay. Photo identification is being undertaken by researchers and in conjunction with Dolphin Watch Cruises. This catalogue is being compared with previous research undertaken by Dr Luciana Moller (Macquarie University) that determined approximately 50 resident dolphins (in addition with transients that visit the bay regularly)

Humpback Whales – MMR members are contributing to an ongoing project on photo identification of humpback whales. Fluke identification photos are contributing to the East Coast Identification catalogue from Sydney, Port Stephens, Hervey Bay & Eden. swt
