MMR Marine Explorer Expeditions - 2011

Support Marine Mammal Research and join our Marine explorer experditions that are run throughout the year, conducting sound scientific research on marine mammals & educateing the public on the environment in which they live.
This is a great oppertunity for you to come onboard and assist in the collection of data on marine life on our coast, focusing on the migration of the humpback whales from Eden to Jervis Bay & the resident bottlenose dolphin population of Jervis Bay.
Data collection will include acoustic recordings, photo identification used for population estimates, pod structure & behaviour.
Features of the Survey trip:
There is also the possibility to observe multiple species of cetaceans that have been previously sighted during survey trips departing from Eden and Jervis Bay, including: little penguins, seals, killer whales, Risso's dolphin, Pygmy killer whale, Pilot whale, Sperm whale, Bottlenose dolphin, Common dolphin, Dwarf minke whale, southern right whales, Humpback whale as well as many different sea birds, while observing a spectacular coastline, make this a very unique experience.
Your help and support is vital to assist in the ongoing research and education and to undertake research field trips like theses, in order to collect data on marine life on our coast. We need to fill each trip so tell a friend or colleague and come onboard.
