SWT - Save Whale Tail project
Encourages communities to promotes the protection of whales around the world. The project also celebrates the annual humpback migration in Australia.
By creating a ‘Sea of Whale Tails’ you can welcome the whales passing by your area for the season.

AT THE EDEN WHALE FESTIVAL

~ Save Whale Tail (SWT) Project ~

We would like to invite all local schools & community members to take part in the ‘Sea of Whale Tails’, as part of the educational program with Marine Mammal Research.com

Where: Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre, Eden, NSW
When: From 10am, Saturday 1st November 2008

The SWT project encourages communities to promote the protection of whales around the world. This project helps celebrate the annual humpback whale migration & conservation of all whales in Australian waters.

Cut out, colour & decorate your tail, write your name or a message on the back of the tail, wave it at the ocean to welcome the whales to our shore! Then come & place your whale tail at Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre, Eden, NSW from 10am on Sat 1st of November for an art installation for the Eden Whale Festival!

By creating a Sea of Whale Tails, we welcome the whales passing by the area & celebrate the importance of these marine mammals to Eden. Community members & whale watch operators will help create this Sea of Whale Tails!


If your school can’t attend the day’s events & would still like to be a part of the ‘Save Whale Tail’ project, then please cut out & decorate as many whale tail templates & send them to Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre & we will represent you & your school on the day!
