Robert Torelli is currently self employed as principal in his two businesses, Marine Boy Productions and Blue Water International. He is a passionate marine conservationist and has vast experience in the marine environment having spent the best part of 25 years as a diver exploring the world’s oceans. Rob has a particularly keen interest in the conservation of sharks, sea turtles and marine mammals.

Marine Boy Productions is Robert’s underwater filming business. This aspect of his work concentrates on marine theme subject matter ranging from macro subjects such as nudibranchs to large marine mammals.
Robert’s area of expertise is in the open water environment and his favourite subject matters include both cetaceans and sharks. Footage shot by Robert has been used in a vast array of situations from stock footage in blue chip natural history documentaries to contributions to conservation organisations.
Rob has also produced a number of programs for television and the international market.

Marine Boy Productions has one of Australia’s largest and most unique stock footage libraries of cetaceans and sharks. This footage has been filmed through out the world with a speciality in the South Pacific region.
Cetacean species documented to date include…sperm whales, killer whales, false killer whales, pygmy killer whales, both long fin and short fin pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, spinner and spotted dolphins, blue whales, southern right whales, humpback whales, brydes whales.

Recently Rob was contracted by 3D Entertainment Ltd to film the Humpback and Killer Whale segments of the IMAX production “Dolphins and Whales 3D”.
